Don't worry, your machine is in perfect condition and will not suffer any damage. In fact, that slow drip is the best proof of the quality of the coffee you are drinking. Most commercial capsules use Robusta coffee or extremely dark roasts that make the bean porous so that water passes through very quickly.
At Monte Capra, we use 100% Colombian high-grown Arabica coffee. This bean is naturally much harder and denser. By preserving its density with our roast, your machine's pump needs a few extra seconds to penetrate the coffee, achieving a slow and perfect extraction to release all the oils and crema.
For your complete peace of mind: we have been conducting stress tests for years, extracting more than 10,000 capsules in the same machine, confirming that this natural resistance of specialty coffee does not affect the mechanism.
💡 Monte Capra expert tip: To guarantee the best flavor in your cup and extend the life of your machine, we recommend performing a hot water extraction (without inserting a capsule) at the beginning and end of the day. This cleans the conduits, prevents coffee residues from sticking, and purges any stagnant water in the system.
